First, I should address my hiatus. Many things have happened in the last 2+ weeks which made it impossible for me to blog.
For a return with a pow, I've gathered some ah-mazing photos of "mermaid" scale tiles!!!! We're going to call them that because I don't care for living fish. One day I'll have a bathroom inspired by a mermaid!

An Office Fit for a MAN
DBR & I watched Man Caves the other night and I couldn't help but think that most "man spaces" could aesthetically use a woman's touch (men with any sort of affiliation to design not included in this generalization). With that in mind, I've created an office fit for a man!

2 more guests...
I decided that I'm going to keep adding people to my dream dinner party, starting with Grace Sun of Grace Sun Designs & Mama is Haute and Kelly Wearstler. Both fashion designers, uber chic mamas and Kelly is an interior designer that is not afraid of bold colors and patterns. Below are some of their work...

Chic Playroom Inspiration
DBR's sister-in-law is about to have a sweet baby girl! I'm so excited, I've been inspired to think of kid's playrooms... oh dear.

Ode to My Seattle Pad
I really miss my little Seattle nest. I did SO MUCH to that place! People told me not to bother, but that's so not like me! When I started decorating this place, I went for the total opposite of what I normally go for. Ultimately, it became a bright sangria inspiration.
Some of the things I did, on my own:
Some of the things I did, on my own:
- Painted ALL WALLS! (most white & some golden yellow)
- Painted the lattice pattern on the inside of the front door & walk-in closet door
- Sanded & Painted all the kitchen cabinets white (you wouldn't even BELIEVE what these looked like before)
- Sanded & Painted dining room table & chairs (+ gradient on the inside bars)
- Added all sorts of different pieces from my new Seattle friends.

Future Office Inspiration
In 2007, I vividly remember cracking open the latest Home & Garden and this beautiful photo of Chloe Sevigny apartment jumped out at me. The foyer walls were covered in this fabulous Kelly Wearstler Imperial Trellis wallpaper and I instantly fell in love.
Just this last month (and four years after I first laid eyes on that wallpaper), I fell in love again. But only this time with these gorgeous Robert Abbey Delta lamps (see below for link) in Rue. So I combined the newbie item with my forever favorite elements and POOF! Out came this cohesive space that would be the perfect office!

Pipe Shelving Unit
I'm quite surprised that only two people in the blog-o-sphere have attempted to re-create the pipe shelving unit, seen at the Ace Palm Springs...Maybe there are more people out there, that just haven't posted their photos? I can only hope. For full instructions on how to re-create, go visit Morgan at The Brick House.

Loft Lusting Over Delfin-Postigo's Home
There is something about white spaces...Maybe it's that the furniture pops?! I certainly wouldn't mind stopping by this pad. Maybe next time in Madrid, I'll ring the doorbell.
You can actually see more photos of this space at yellowtrace.
